Family Matters to Us
We believe that family was created by God.
Being able to make connections with one another is a high value at Long Beach Alliance church. There are many ways to get involved at this church and within the different ministries that are offered.
Maybe you would just love to connect to a group of people with the same interests as you. That would be pretty awesome too. We would love for you to take a moment and click on one of the following ministries below to explore the different things happening. You’ll also find all of that ministry’s contact information.
The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast meets the second Saturday of each month, to eat, encourage (through a speaker) and build relationships with other men. Sign up here for the upcoming breakfast.
Life Groups are mid-week small groups in local homes for adults who want to come together to learn more about and discuss God’s Word. Sign up for more information and to get involved in a Life Group today.

Men
LBAC’s Men’s Ministry is dedicated to building and strengthening a community of men who are committed to helping one another trust and follow Jesus, through growth groups, fellowship, retreats, and service partnerships with other LBAC ministries. Our goal in everything is to follow Him, be transformed by Him, and live our lives ultimately for Him.
Women
Women’s Ministries at LBAC is designed to meet the needs of women in our church family and surrounding community through Bible study, fellowship, mentoring and service opportunities. Knowing that women’s lives can become overburdened with many good things to do, each aspect of Women’s Ministry meets only once a month. Please join us at any (or all) of the following Women’s Ministry Gatherings.
This group meets at various times of the year to focus on local and foreign missionaries. WCWM provides women with a time of learning, fellowship, and prayer.
Come with your projects on the third Saturday of each month, to fellowship with other women as you get your crafting done.
An opportunity to serve the homeless women of Long Beach, our Lydia House ministries provides a meal and short Bible study for the women’s portion of the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Our service day is the third Thursday of each month.
Women’s Ministry provides an opportunity for women to gather together for a variety of activities, including clothing swaps, book groups and teas. Please see the church calendar for upcoming Gatherings.
We’re thrilled about this innovative Bible study resource that shows how Christ fits into the entire gospel story, from pre-creation to eternity (and where each one of us fits into it too). The three-year chronological timeline ensures that no matter when you jump in, you won’t miss a thing. The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities, and more. The Gospel Project is offered at 9:30AM, during the Worship Celebration Service. Kids preschool to 5th grade are welcome!
Nursery is available for children from birth through 2 years old. When your child is in our care, they will be part of a loving environment filled with cuddles, prayer and lots of love. Safety and personal attention are our top priorities. Please make sure to bring and label diapers, bottles and pacifiers. If your child is potty training, please be sure to communicate that to the teacher and bring an extra change of clothes.
***Please make sure to notify us if your child has allergies or special dietary needs and cannot eat the snacks offered.
If you are a first-time visitor, you can save time on your first visit to church by pre-registering your children at Kidcheck.
Our AWANA ministry is designed for children from preschool through 12th grade! We are dedicated to teaching young children about the gospel of Jesus Christ through the study and memorization of God’s Word, the Holy Bible. We strive to make each club night an exciting, meaningful experience for clubbers through the use of games, theme nights, Scripture memory work, Bible lessons, and other activities. At Long Beach Alliance Church we practice baby dedication, as opposed to infant baptism. This is a time when parents make a commitment before the Lord to raise their child according to God’s Word and in a way that points them to Jesus and encourages them to make a personal decision to follow Jesus once they are able. We believe that baptism comes later in life after making a personal commitment to follow Jesus.
Our commitment to baby dedications is based on this passage found in Deuteronomy 6:4-7:
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
Baby dedications take place during the Sunday morning worship service. Dedicating a child before the whole congregation also allows our church family to make a commitment to that child and their family to come along side and support the family’s commitment.
Please fill out a Baby Dedication Form and someone on our ministry team will contact you with more details and be able to answer any questions you may have.
For the protection of all our children and teachers, we ask that all children and teachers refrain from coming to nursery or class if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
- Cloudy or green runny nose
- Fever of 100 degrees of higher in the last 24 hours
- Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours
- Any symptoms of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, chicken pox, or whooping cough
- Common cold – from onset through one week
- Sore throat
- Persistent cough
- Any unexplained rash or skin infection
- Untreated pink eye or other eye infections
- Lice, including the presence of eggs or nits
If a child appears to be ill, we will notify the parent immediately.
Kids
The Children’s Ministry programs at Long Beach Alliance Church exist to provide a loving, nurturing, and safe environment in which to teach our children the importance of a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. God’s word is out sole authority and the primary focus of teaching. People are the focus of God’s plan to glorify Himself. Every individual is to be welcomed, nurtured, and included in our ministry. To put it simply, we want everyone to feel as though they belong here, because they do.
Every Sunday morning, at 9:30AM, our children are invited to join fun, interactive, and biblically-based class-time, through our Gospel Project curriculum. We love helping kids learn to enjoy and serve God!
Youth
Long Beach Alliance Youth is the student ministries program for Junior High and High School students and we exist to provide opportunities for these students to experience a relationship with Jesus Christ as they learn how to Love God, Love Others and Serve the World and why that matters.
We love to play together, worship together, and serve together.
The goal of LBA Youth is to equip each student with the necessary knowledge to become disciples of Christ whom are capable of showing their friends and families how to do the same. We do this through a combination of the Sunday morning worship service where we are taught from the Word of God and learn different ways to build and deepen our relationship with Jesus; through our mid-week gathering (Youth Group) where we work through topics that face today’s youth and then spend time wrestling through those topics in smaller gender-based groups; and through numerous activities where we come together to simply play and have fun together.
The youth staff have come to a personal understanding of how much Jesus loves them and have chosen to take the opportunity to show that same love and care for the youth of Long Beach Alliance Church and whoever else might come through our doors.
