ABOUT LONG BEACH ALLIANCE YOUTH
Long Beach Alliance Youth is the student ministries program for Junior High and High School students. Our Youth Group exists to provide opportunities for students to experience what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ as well as healthy relationships with one another.
We aim to play together, worship together, and serve together.
The goal of LBA Youth is to equip each student with the necessary knowledge to become disciples of Christ whom are capable of showing their friends and families how to do the same. First we learn who God is, then we learn who we are--because of who God is, and then we learn to share those truths with those around us.
We gathering to learn these things a couple times per week; during Sunday morning worship where we are taught from the Word of God and through our mid-week gathering (Youth Group) where we work through topics that face today’s youth. Youth Group consists of lessons, diving deeper into topics in smaller gender-based groups and all sorts of activities where we come together to simply play and have fun together.
No matter the life circumastances that a student finds themself in, we believe they belong here. All are welcome.
The youth staff have come to a personal understanding of how much Jesus loves them and have chosen to take the opportunity to show that same love and care for the youth of Long Beach Alliance Church and whoever else might come through our doors.

WHEN WE GATHER
TUESDAYS

TUESDAY NIGHTS | 7-9PM | YOUTH ROOM
In High School, we have broken away from the traditional model of youth group by changing up our programming on a 4-week cycle.
WEEK 1: Lesson with Small Groups
WEEK 2: Large Group Activity
WEEK 3: Small Groups
WEEK 4: Fun Time
We have found that this rotation of activities has had a significant impact on how our students relate with one another, as well as how they understand their relationship with God.
For Weekly details and reminders on each week, be sure to follow our Parent Only Group on Facebook.
There is also a calendar down below with all the activities and youth events for the remainder of the 2022 school year.
In keeping with the health mandates for LA County, we will ask that each student to have a mask with them.
Thank you.

CURRENT TEACHING SERIES
UNBELIEVING BELIEVERS
It's really easy to say that we believe in and love God, but then there are times when our actions and behaviors speak to the contrary. We also live in a time and culture where Scripture is secondary to our own wants and desires and we can believe that our lives can be lived however we desire. This series is designed to examine popular phrases spoken by people who claim to be believers and show how they miss the mark of the goodness and freedom that God truly offers to believers.
Phrases that will be covered:
"I Believe in A God."
"God Doesn't Care How I Live."
"I've Got God, I Don't Need Church."
"I Don't Have to Get Extreme with My Faith."
THURSDAYS

THURSDAY NIGHTS | 7-9PM | YOUTH ROOM
Each week, we gather together for a time of games, worship, lessons, and gender-based small group discussions. It is a casual, fun time designed for junior highers to be able to enjoy themselves while building on the foundation of Biblical truth, starting with the fact that they are loved beyond measure by a good God.
For Weekly details and reminders on each week's topics and activities, be sure to follow our Parent Only Group on Facebook.
There is also a calendar down below with all the activities and youth events for the remainder of the 2022 school year.
In keeping with the health mandates for LA County, we will ask that each student have a mask with them.
Thank you.

CURRENT TEACHING SERIES
THIEVES
In the midst of momentum and spiritual growth, the thief is liable to sneak in and start to steal away the joy that is growing. This four-week series is based on John 10:10. Jesus wants to give us the best life, but the thief wants nothing more than to steal and kill and destroy us. Each week we look at a sneaky sin that creeps into our lives. The goal is not to teach a moral lifestyle, but rather how to stay vigilant to the enemy's desires to ruin our life.
