The summer has officially arrived, and we could not be more excited about it!
This is a reminder post about how the summer will work, what we have planned, and where you can go to get your student(s) signed up. As you probably have seen; through different emails and postcards, there is a lot going on. If you need more information on any of the topics below, feel free to contact Pastor Jesse.
TUESDAY | The DEEP | 7-9PM | Youth Room
Books are still available for $5. Discussion questions will be posted in the Parent Facebook Group for you to interact with your student on what they read.
THURSDAY | BEACH DAYS | 10AM-6PM | Huntington Beach
If you’re planning on sending your student, please sign them up at www.lbac.org/summer by TUESDAY so that I can make sure we have enough transportation. Don’t forget to send $$ or food for lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, and a towel.
THURSDAY | FAMILY DINNER | 6PM-7PM | Long Beach Alliance Gym
For either those returning from the beach or those planning to stay for Summer Youth Group, dinner will be served from 6-7. If your student is planning to attend or if you would like to help provide this meal, please sign up www.lbac.org/summer.
THURSDAY | SUMMER YOUTH GROUP | 7PM-9PM | Long Beach Alliance Gym
After dinner, we enter into a night of games and craziness. Each night’s activity will have a theme and this first week is a live action version of the popular mobile game, ‘Among Us.’ All the players will have a set amount of time to find and complete a series of tasks while simultaneously trying to identify and avoid being “killed” by the Imposters.” Signing your student(s) up at www.lbac.org/summer will also help us make sure to have enough supplies.
PARENTS ONLY FACEBOOK GROUP
In case you didn’t catch it above, we have a group on Facebook for Parents Only. This is a place for me to send out reminders, as well as different resources for you as parents. It is also a place for you to connect with one another. All parents of current students are welcome to join. You can find our group at www.facebook.com/groups/LBACparents.
YOUTH WEBSITE
There are a couple of ways to stay current with the things happening with the youth group. One is through the above mentioned Facebook Group, the other is on our newly designed Youth Website. I will keep it updated with upcoming events and ways to sign up. You’ll be able to view that website at www.lbac.org/youth.
